On 14th May 2017 Dunstable Road Runners again teamed up with Keech Hospice Care to support a 10k through the Putteridge Bury Estate and the Chiltern Hills.
It was a beautiful sunny day and Putteridge Bury was looking particularly stunning. The DDR crew turned up bright and early to get prepared. After a briefing to ensure everyone was clear the marshals were sent off to their allocated spots (with picnics to keep them sustained and goodies for the runners).
Next the runners started to arrive, pick up their numbers and prepare for the off. At 10am they were off! Through some of the area’s finest countryside and up a couple of little inclines (ok they are hills ;-)).
The first runner home was DRRs very own speedster Darren Deed in a very impressive 33:20. In total 137 runners enjoyed the day with many local clubs being represented.
