Flora London Marathon 2008

Once again the club was well represented with 13 runners participating.

First home was Michael Hand in a time of 3hrs 15minutes and 14 seconds, just outside the automatic qualifying time but an impressive effort none the less, well done Michael!

Following Michael were three runners (pictured left) whose finishing times were separated by 13 seconds! Steve Paull finished in 3:24:47, Bill Crane in 3:24:51 and Glenis Driscoll in 3:25:00!

Next home was Lee Murphy (pictured right) who at the age of 18 ran his first ever marathon in a fantastic time of 3:31:18 setting a new record for the youngest ever club member to complete a marathon. Well done Lee!

Next home was Finola Woodhouse who, despite an injury setback, finished her first marathon in an excellent 3:42:18.

Wendy Cope was our next runner in, in 4:06:14, followed by Anita Hall 4:15:30, closely followed by Amanda Grieg 4:15:43 and Nikki Huntingford 4:27:16.

Our final runners were Mark Pedder and Irene Paull who finished in times of 4:38:48 and 4:55:31
