🏃 Wootton - XC Race 2 - Race Report

We had a great morning in Wootton (the Northants one) for Three Counties XC this morning. It was a challenging course, and with two laps, a course that got tougher the more you progressed.

There were sixteen of us representing the club. We always love new blood at Cross Country, three members made their XC debut today: Kevin, Szymon, and Rafi.

🌟 Race Highlights

We had some brilliant performances across the board on a tough course:

• Szymon was first home for the club, but I did see a man with a longer beard than him, proof that you can’t have everything.

• Nikk, who came in first in Wellingborough, kept up his good form following Szymon by only a few hundred yards.

• And in third place, a little way behind Nikk and Szymon, loudly complaining that “I shouldn’t have gone full send at Park Run yesterday” was Niall.

🥇 Leading the Ladies

The women’s field was led by three determined finishes:

• Kelly led the ladies with her characteristic determined finish.

• Kirsty, who this week hit her yearly distance goal, came in just 1 minute later. She’s showboating at this point!

• And less than a minute after Kirsty, Madie came flying over the mound that started the final stretch and landed herself third.
