Coronavirus

Statement from our club Chair (Lisa Phee)

Dear Lovley DRRs,

This evening the Prime Minister and Chief Medical Officer advised everyone to avoid non-essential social contact, including clubs in order to slow the spread of Covid-19.
As our club is non-essential, we are cancelling ALL sessions (Club organised hill sessions, Track Tuesday and Monday/Wednesday club runs) with immediate effect until further notice.

This is not a decision that we as a committee have come to easily, and we have only done so with the safeguarding of all of our members at the centre of our discussions.

Our Dunstable Road Runner community is one of the strongest I know and am heartened that we will look after each other, check in with each each other and stay strong during this most difficult of times. Whilst we continue to wait for further guidance, please continue to post on here what you’re up to. Runs, walks, recipes, book reviews, general chat, you name it whilst we await normal service.

We may not be able to meet at our club nights but we can meet here whenever we wish. A good friend will always be found with the tap of an app.

We are family. Family looks after each other **singswearefamilysistersledge**

Stay safe Lions and Lionesses,
Lisa (Chair)
